I have an opportunity to purchase a Lee Enfield sporter "303 British"
SER# W17502 it apears to be in reasonable shape stock is clean ,brass butt
plate is clean. I dont intend to shoot it. MK1 RN303 2222
I just think maybe I should have one. :dancingbanana:

I can get it for 150.00 too much? or good price?

THANX.

They have zero collector value. Their only value is as a shooter, IF, the headspace is ok. If the rifle is a bubba'd No. 1(rear sight on the barrel) and it has bad headspace, fixing it will be a costly nuisance. No. 1 bolt heads aren't easy to find and you'll need a handful to try with headspace guages.
$150 isn't too bad depending on the condition of the rest of the rifle.

Why drop $150 on something you won't use? You might as well spend it at the strip joint, and at least get some long-lasting happy memories?

Keep your money. Buy a complete rifle, not someones trashed second-rate hunting rifle. Then you will feel better about just having one and not shooting it.

I don't think I am alone when it comes to having more guns than I care to
shoot. Some guns I bought new I haven't shot in 30 years.
I don't think you can have to many.

Sounds like these rifles can be found considerably cheaper.
I will look around for a better buy.

Thanx for the replies
Regards.

$75 to $100 is a fair price for a bubba'd 303-and don't under rate them as a very useful ''truck gun''either.I sold my very nice Ruger #1 .270 simply because I didn't want to take it out hunting-my bubba'd 6.5x55 swede put a lot more meat on the table.
