My brother bought me this rifle awhile ago. From what I know its No4Mk1 sporterized by Parker Hale. Because of time constraints (School/work) I've only be able to go shooting with it twice so far. (Its also my first (and only)Enfield, but not my last:)(My Opa has a No5)) Shoots like a dream, only problems I've had is when it got a bit jammed up when the lead tipped bullets I was using(WIN Super X 180gr) got caught on the feed, but thats not bad. The other problem is that the Range near my place is 200m, and the rear battle sight is fixed at 300yd.

The Metal is clean, and the action is smooth. I'll post some more pictures of the marking and the rifle when I get the chance.

(note: the scope was just placed on for the picture, it's not actually set)

Just to note, the picture makes the wood look a lot lighter than it really is, its almost a darker fade of the colour. I'll be posting some new Pics soon( when I go home next)

I'm not a fan of Bubba, but that isn't your typical hackjob. Parker Hale is a reknowned manufacturer of specialized hunting guns, and yours fits the bill. Nice weapon! Forgoe the battle sights, fit her with a nice scope, and you have yourself a decent deer huinting rig!

I put a 5 round mag on mine,a composite stock and a scope and at a quick glance you would not even know it was a Lee Enfield No 4 Mk 1. Shoots great and looks so gooooooooooooooooooood :)

ugly butt

shes a beauty! I would just re do that fugly recoil pad

That ugly pad will hold your butt in place for lots of consistent bullseyes. Unfortunately it is not a good hunting rifle style. There is probably a central screw so the rubber can be repositioned exactly. Not something to throw away, but definately one to replace.

If your lead tipped bullets are jamming up on the feed ramps, just spread the feed lips of the mag out a bit so the feed angle is increased, that way your rounds won't jam.
