lee load all

I don't know your circumstances or what compels you to buy the lee load all, but I would very strongly recommend looking for a used MEC jr in 12g instead. The Lee, to me, was very flimsy, slow, and obnoxious to work with. The MEC is easier, mounts better, and is more robust, and used 12g presses come up frequently for 150 or less.

That being said if there is a specific reason you want the Lee, amazon or x-reload has them in stock.

Thanks, ordered for X reload

I have a mec grabber but lastnight I broke the resizing collet. I'm loading duck loads and the mec doesn't resize high brass/steel heads fully. The lee load all will and apparently the starter crimp works really well on new hulls. As a bonus I can now get my lazy partner involved in helping me. This is low volume reloading not like when I reload for sporting.

Odd the collet doesn't do the job, it should do it. The Lee has a ring method, though I'd argue the MEC jr's ring sizer works better than lee's. Not sure how it will perform on steel head hulls though, I bought a super-sizer specifically for steel should I be desperate enough to load those hulls.

LEE LoadAll II works good with the older Winchester AA hulls. At least mine did. Warm the mouth of the hull up a bit before crimping. No, they aren't a high capacity press, but they do work, given the right hulls, follow the proper load component recommendations, and a bit of patience.

What kjohn says. Have used the Lee Load-All with most brands of hulls, without issue. Respect it's limitations, and it will load good shells.
By the way, I own a Mec, too. Clearly, a more advanced press. But, the Load-All can get the job done.

Is your grabber the old 761/762 model?
If so yes they don’t resize the high brass but if you buy the new style collet and closer assembly you can retrofit the newer parts into the older grabber and then it will resize high brass

Yes it is. Thanks for that, I will look into buy the new style collet and closer.

The lee load-all will fill the gap till the new parts arrive and you can never have too many presses.

Higginson's replied this morning, they have the Lee Load-all $20 cheaper than X but unfortunately I already order lastnight from X... grrrrr

Thanks to all for your replies

Chances are it was purchased from Higginson's. They are a LEE distributor, probably the largest stock of LEE products in Canada.

Back when we shot trap and skeet my buddy and myself loaded 10's of thousands of target loads with one. Did some hunting loads as well. Simple, basic, and cheap. And it works.
