lee load master

it's got NOTHING TO DO with FEDERAL primers- it's obvious you NEVER BOTHERED TO READ THE MANUAL

I did infact read the manual! Those on this list that know me, know that I am a technical person with at least average intelligence. I CAN FOLLOW directions! But realistically ..... junk is junk! Would I sell it? NEVER!!! I'll wipe my a$$ with the near $400.00 bill!!! I will NOT intentionally sell any sub-standard item to anyone, let alone anyone from the firearm community.

a master electrician's ticket does not make you a mechanic-when i got my loadmaster, it had NO case feeder, no primer feed, no dies, and the wrong shelplate for my need- yes, i got the stripped model for 179- the primer feed was 30, and the case feeder was another 30- i downloaded the manual from the lee site- i already had the dies and powder measure from previous presses- between higgenson and lee technical, i got it running perfectly- THAT'S WHY i KNOW your problems are MINOR- you got all that stuff already installed- your feed problem is adjusted on page 3- the primer problem has to do with bending the arm so that the case pushes on the the arm just before station 2- you would have seen this had you READ the manual- it's on page 7- ipso facto you either DIDN'T READ OR DIDN'T COMPREHEND

why do you guys care if he likes Lee or not (or Dillon for that matter) If he's say's it's junk...to him it's junk. He's free to spend his money as he pleases...and form an opinion of his own.

without sounding like a plug, ALL new reloaders should be READING acrashb's treatise( if i can call it that) on PROGRESSIVE RELOADERS- THE MAN TOOK CONSIDERABLE TIME AND EFFORT TO REVIEW all three ( dillon, lee , and the lock and load) BEFORE they purchase- if you don't you're making an UNINFORMED choice

If you want a trully nightmare loading experience Lee is your press. No hassles no problems fast easy pleasurable time get a dillon press.

Yep it's a excellent review. for the op that started this thread, well if you post an opinion on a internet forum, expect people to disagree and agree with it. If you don't want open discussion on your opinion, don't post it.

a LOT of us don't have the MONEY to spend on a dillon, or hornady for that matter- the ONLY reason i've got a loadmaster is i NEEDED at least a 4 holer to do revolver- my 9mm, 45, and 223 ( which really should be a 4 holer )are all lee 1000s- even at today's prices, i got 3 DEDICATED presses for just a tad over 600- the only thing hthat comes close is the 650, which is more money, and you have to fiddle with it to changecalibers- and i DO have a 550 on the same bench- it's dedicated for 308- when i first got the 550, i spent about an hour a month on the phone with dillon solving a primer feed problem, which we NEVER did get right- to this day, i use a LEE hand primer - so don't talk to me about dillon-

Yup, I spent my money, foolishly again! I did indeed form an opinion, if it has LEE on it, RUN the other way!!!

Well...if anyone rushes out to buy a press based entirely on what they read in online forums...they deserve what they get.

Mistake #1 .... I did in fact buy this junk based on information found on this list.

Well...the priming system of the 550 (and 650) is by far it's biggest flaw. Thankfully the 1050 uses a completely different system.

that won't fly- anytime someone asks, the reply is almost universally dillon, with the 650 leading the way- there are a few lnl and then lee- there are VERY FEW loadmasters on this forum- what REALLY happened is you saw the difference between the loadmaster and the dillon and cheaped out
