Lee Loading .308 not recommended for Semi's?

Because reloading is a hobby, and I do it because I like it, not really just to save money.
I am probably never going to reload enough to justify all the money I spend on reloading equipment. I don't care. I am having fun. If one day I don't need it anymore, I'll sell it all for half the price, and make someone else happy.

Well said! Exactly the way I look at it. If it was only about saving money hunting, fishing, shooting, snowmobiling etc etc wouldn't exist.

You have to admit that "3x more leverage" makes you want to buy another press even if you don't need it. I could not resist that.

Honestly I just wanted to buy a better press. No specific reason. Mine was fine.
I wanted to try a better one, just to see.

Okay, then. LOL. THAT is a completely acceptable answer...because I wanted it... I was picturing some 68lb kid trying to reload and not being able to because here was no weight behind the handle. LMAO.

Again, a more than acceptable answer. Unfortunately, nuance does not come over this medium well. I wasn't saying that to you. I was trying to make a point that, not everyone can afford a CoAx right out of the gate and even with all of my Lee stuff, I do not SAVE money reloading. It does EXACTLY what I wanted when I started with a Lee Loader. Makes rounds as good as factory cheaper so that I can shoot more and become a better hunter. Have I ever needed more than the original .303 Lee Enfield I bought at 16? Nope. Have I ever needed more than the Lee Loader for it? Nope, I could easily have made ALL hunting ammo I could ever want for that. As a matter of fact I have that and two more ('06 and .308) in a pack with 2lbs of powder and other supplies. Do I have more rifles and guns than I can use? Yep. Do I load for all of them? Yep. Why? Because I can. Did I REALLY need to finally buy Lee's Classic Cast presses at 50 yrs of age? Nope, but I did because I could finally afford it and because I wanted to.

Well said to both of you, reloading isn't just about saving money on ammo. As men we tend to lust for tools like horny cavemen lol. It adds up and I'd probably still be saving money had I bought factory ammo with the money I've spent on reloading tools and components. I like reloading and the ammo it produces and treat it like a whole new side to owning guns. The money is gonna get spent on gun stuff anyways so might as well enjoy more than just guns and cardboard boxes of factory ammo.

I tried necksizing my .223 brass for my M4 and nothing but problems. You really need to fullsize brass for any military type semi, they have a floating firing pin and brass that jams on the way in risks premature detonation. Full size your semi brass and neck size your bolt/lever
