Lee loadmaster

well if u do a search on odinson, you will see all the problems he's had and the solutions he's been offered, including some on this board that have offered to BUY his press and fix it,but he'd hear NONE of it- draw your own conclusions- and it doesn't just apply to the loadmaster, but the 1000 as well- you have to remember that the loadmaster has now been around a long time and some of the various problems have been dealt with ie the primer feed has gone to a 1 piece usnit and i'd still keep a spare assembly around jic- they're relatively cheap and you can get them from higgenson- - the chain you can get from Canadian tire- I keep BOTH of these items on hand
he only surfaces to whine about lee products

As I previously stated ..... he asked for opinions, I gave him mine. I apologize, I didn't know that I had to check with you before I posted it. Any, I've got better things to do than to debate with you.

I have the Loadmaster and the LNL side by side, the LNL case feeder is better, but not 10x better and that is the difference in price of the 2 accessories. I usea bulletfeeeder on the LNL, just for FMJ and plated, it took a lot of tweaking of the collet to get it to work properly, plan on getting another collet and tweaking it to load lead. For the Loadmaster, almost all the priming issues went away with the new primer feeder, as mentioned keep the nuts tight and it works fine. If you are loading for economy and have a limited bullet budget, then this press will keep you happy. What I did find that although it's easy to switch calibres, it's difficult to set the primer press correctly and since I stopped switching calibres, most of the issues went away. I hope Lee comes up with a way to accurately repeat primer plunger settings.

I found a place locally that I may buy it from (good price to boot). Henry is taking ages to reply to my inquiry.
I like titan reloading but the dollar being terrible, I might as well support local

ok, a little background - I have one of the EARLIEST loadmasters ever made, and it was a floor/demo model when I bought it, reason being I needed a 4th station to reload 44 mag- the 4 hole turrets weren't out yet- that's how long ago it was- I've rebuilt it from the ground up, including removing the ram and replacing some parts along the way- sure, it's been expensive in parts( I know higgensen on a first name basis) esp the primer feeds- I used to buy these things a dozen at a time- trough , top and slider- pre- assembled, it's just a drop in when the next one fails until u get to the red ones- if you have one of the old white ones, the bottom and top also get munched when the slider fails- I KNOW this from school of hard knocks- I also opened the spent primer feed all the way( it's on the bottom of the ram) and stuck a bucket under there to catch my dead primers- I go through that many- a 1 gallon ice cream pail works
- and a shop-vac to clean up spent powder- use it for exclusively for spent powder and if a little crap gets sucked into your powder it's not going to hurt it- and use the microfilter on the shop vac
the best advice I can give you is either to prime off the machine or to go to the new RED primer feeds if you have the WHITE model- and get a spare regardless of which u have
