I'm not sure this is the right thread to post in but as its for reloading gear I thought I'd post here...
I bought a .223 Lee Loader, very cool little tool btw!!
ANYWAYS.. I just started de-capping a bunch of 20 round Winchester packs of brass I'd saved NO problem (in about 5 minutes I was done 60) then I started on some bulk R-P range brass I bought off a member here and after about 30 or so ..'BAM' no primer popping out, it was TIGHT, so as a noob would do I tried to hammer out a little to hard and busted the tiny little pin on the de-capper. ...then I thought about what an idiot I was.
I looked on Lee's site to just buy another 1 but then just thought about it and sent in my info in a ' service ticket' with the part # etc etc etc, knowing that it was a $4 part of a $40 cheap loader, they probably would laugh at me, and knowing it was probably my fault for giving it an extra-extra hard WHACK, rather then just tossing the case like I probably should have.
A customer service person seriously messaged me back in under 5 minutes just asking me to just send them a reply to the email with a pick of the broke piece! I thought WOW, it wasn't even some automated reply, so I sent a crappy cell phone picture back of the broken end and mentioned in the email that I was also interested in a few other small things (chamfer / de-bur tool etc $3 crap) and then not only 10 minutes later and I get a phone call from them!
They ended up putting in an order to send me 2! new de-capper pins and then I asked about the other small parts I thought I might want and they sold them to me and put them all in the same order under warranty and waived any shipping / duty etc! I was impressed! that's how you do business right there! fast and accurate for sure! They were definitely on the ball!
