I bought one of these update kits for my 30 year old auto disk and installed it yesterday. Total time to install the kit was about 5 minutes. The instructions are worthless but it's easy enough to see what needs to be done to get the new parts installed. The kit comes with a "free" adjustable charge bar to replace the disks. Last night I gave it a run to see if it was an improvement over the old measure.
Some fidddling (trial and error) to get the charge bar set to 6.5 gr of Unique for my .45 Schofield load. Unique is not an easy powder to meter consistantly. The old powder measure would fluctuate over a 0.2 - 0.3 gr range with Unique.
The refurbished measure ran 0.1 gr of fluctuation after I had it dialed in with no change noted weighing every 10th powder throw on 200 rounds loaded. It stayed within the 6.4 - 6.5 gr range for the entire exercise.
I'm impressed. This is a worthwhile upgrade if you're running the old Lee Auto Disk powder measure.
