Lee Reloading Manual-jacketed bullets, copper plated bullets

Ive got the 2nd edition Lee reloading manual. For the various different loads, the loads are for Lead,copper plated & jacketed bullets. There is no mention of CMJ or FMJ. So what do I use for CMJ or FMJ loads?

CMJ and FMJ are both jacketed.

Use lead data for copper plated, don't use FMJ data. You can call Hodgdons, or any bullet, or powder manufacturer, and you will get the same response. Copper plated is a much thinner/softer jacket than Full metal jacket.

use the normal FMJ data. Thank you for using our product!

We do not have access to any European or US made powders in South Africa. I can therefor not comment on the powder that you are going to use. However, if you use the normal FMJ loading data you should experience no problems.

If you were properly working up a load you wouldn't be asking that question......

You can get good loads from that website. I work up a load between my Speer and Lee manual and along with the internet I can get a good starting load. Then I work up with my chrony.
