Hi all. I have a Lee Turret press with an auto indexer. I have the "LEE Safety Primer Feed Small" which I have used with 9mm etc for years. I am looking to reload 45ACP and think I need the Safety Primer Feed Large. I believe the part number or whatever for what I have now is 90995 for the small, and I need the 90996 for the large. I can't seem to find that part number online etc for any items for sale. However I have seen a 90997 that seems to be a part for large and small primer. Does anyone have any experience with these or insight on this? Will the 90997 work? I just need the large at this point but would settle for having to buy both if need be.... just want to have one for large primers for 45ACP.
I came across some stuff about pre or post 2006, and my press is definitely post 2006. Thanks in advance any help is appreciated!!

I ordered mine from Budget Shooter Supply. They are on vacation right now I think, but they are great.

90997 has both small and large primer, looks like it's in stock at Higginson.

I wouldn't steer anyone away from Budget, but Henry's not going to look at any orders now until September.

Part number 90995 is for the powder charging die set - https://leeprecision.com/charging-die-kit.html
The Lee website does not list a part for number 90996.

For the small cash outlay just buy the large & small set. Always good to have a spare around anyway.

Yes I see that now. I wonder if the other small and large separate are discontinued and they just have the combo now with the new part number?? I still have the original box from my small primer and the sku is 90995 but that was also purchased at least 10 years ago now. I think that original manual that came with that is where I got the 90996 etc from. Or maybe I Saw online. At any rate that would explain the trouble finding one lol! So yes thanks for the input I’ll just go with the large and small combo for sure

As well do I need another powder die to put my powder hopper and riser on for 45ACP that's different from the one I use for 9mm?? Is it "Powder thru expanding die"?? Guess I could just try it!!

Lee three die sets are already capable. Their Carbide dies work great for pistol ammo.

Not sure if i'm understandng you correctly but you need a different powder thru die for the 9mm than you do for the 45 as the powder thru die also flares the case mouth for bullet seating and obviously 9mm is different from 45. You could use the same riser and just swap it between powder thru dies. However, as I'm a little on the lazy side and because they're cheap I just buy a riser to go with each powder thru die so I don't have to swap them when i change calibres.

Yes that’s exactly what I was asking. And thanks that’s pretty much what I needed to know ! I’ve just never set it up for 45 so asking these things before I buy a bunch of stuff or go to start reloads and discover I need a bunch lol

Hey so thanks for all the replies. So before I order I’m thinking I need the following parts to be Sure I’m set up for 45 ACP :

90585- powder expanding die for 45ACP
90041- riser (I have one but as mentioned have another to not have to switch)
90999: BP1169B- Large primer arm (I’m pretty sure I have this but just In case for the cost, on a side note is something that comes with the auto prime initially? As I seem to have it but only have the small primer feed)

This all being said I have a 45 die set so that’s covered , just not the powder die or one I can find anyway at the moment.

Thanks in advance !! Oh and as well my initial inquiry on the 90997 small and large primer feed ! Let me know if I’m missing anything I need or would be handy to have !

If you order the Safety Prime set it should come with a small primer trough, a large primer trough and two primer containers (triangle shaped), one for each trough. There is also a mounting bracket to attach the primer assembly to the press.

As for the primer arm (the little metal piece that holds the primer before it goes in the primer pocket) it does not come with the Safety Prime but you should have received a set of primer arms (large & small). They can be ordered if you don't have one. According to the Lee site there are apparently different ones for different presses so you would have to make sure you're getting the right one. If you're not sure email Lee customer service. I have generally found them very helpful.

Ok thanks for this. Yes that makes sense then as to why I have both arms but not a large feeder.
