Maybe someone can help me out...I am having a hard time finding load data for 1 oz lee slugs..I would like to use Unique or Universal Clays and AA hulls..

I have been using shot data with my Lee 7/8oz slugs.
I researched that a slug offers less resistance up the bore than the equivelant shot charge, so your velocity will be higher with the slug.
I would recommend that you give the mould a tap with the soft mallet when squeezed closed- prior to pouring each time to make sure its shut all the way, otherwise mine sometimes throws a slightly oversized slug.
Personally I use Lee 7/8 slug, Win primer, Win AA hull, 20gr Greendot, pink Claybuster 12AASL wad with cardboard disc (stops the slug from sticking to the wad) and a softish 8 point crimp.
This will put you into the 1350fps range and is quite enough IMO.. Blows the snot out of the wad and any faster results in decreased accuracy.
Theres a bunch of info in the Alliant data book- but these are using Bluedot and an extra couple hundred fps, just a whole lot of extra recoil for nothing.
My own slow loads bughole at 25 yards and pieplate at 100. Likely the most fun you'll ever have with your clothes on.

I have been using "Red Dot" for my one ounce loads with good success. I use a "Lee" loadall with bushing #163 which gives me about 18.4 grains of powder and the slug is travelling 1250 fps. (their numbers). Their loading of "Unique" powder is bushing # 128 with 19.8 grns of powder@1200fps. That is for a 1 1/8 oz load. I cast my own 1 oz slugs and mine run about 1 1/16 to almost 1 1/8 oz and I have encountered no problems. I am using AA hulls with the crimp trimmed off. I use a 930 Mossy auto-loader and they cycle 100%. I shot at an old combine grain tank and the slug went through both sides and into the unloading auger. I was impressed...Good Luck...ST...

Thanks for the info..I have to get a current data manual..I have the Lyman 3rd edition..
Go to Lee's web site and download the instuctions for the slug mould and on that sheet are some loads.
