Lee Turret Press Opinions

Pop in a different turret disc and shell holder and you've done a calibre change in under 60 seconds. It's wonderful for that, and relatively inexpensive to own a lot of die sets ready to go in their own discs.

I'll admit I sometimes lost patience with prodding and tweaking the 90 degree rotation mechanism and primer feed, but it did seat primers properly and make good ammunition safely. If you're loading lower volumes and being patient it's a great press. And it's simple enough with only one thing happening at a time so it's a good press to learn reloading on.

But it's always four pulls of the handle to get each round, while my Dillon Square Deal gives me a round of pistol ammo everytime I pull the handle, so for really churning it out I turn to the blue machine. But I do not look forward to calibre changes there. And if I was needing large quantities of rifle ammo I'd have to look into a larger progressive unit.
