Hi all,

I have already purchased a Lee Value Turret is is not the iron based classic with the spent primer tube.....
I'm in the middle of de-priming a few thousand brass of various sorts with a universal de-primer...

Does anyone have a Macgyverian fix for spent primers everywhere, my fix of placing a trash container under the press is successful maybe 30-40% of the time the other go near and far and seem to have perpetual energy to flee the broom. I've stuffed some paper towel in some of the holes on the press base so that they won't accumulate...

Scene some interesting fixes on the US boards.... plastic cups, wire mesh, sticky notes.....

Please no buy a dillon or buy the classic turret.... this is a question to those that know what I'm talking about and might have a simple solution to direct spent primer in one nice organized way....Pictures would help...

Thanks in advance, and sorry if this has been discussed already (it must have been)

I can't find the picture I'm thinking of, but it was simple enough.
Cardboard from a 2litre milk container, form into an "L" shape and secured to the three columns.
Drill holes through the table top to line up with the ones in the press base, and screw a jar lid to the underside of the table.
Make sure the lid has a hole in it ;)
Screw jar into lid, and empty when full.
The fellow said it caught just about all of them, only missing 2-3/1000.

There was another fix, turning the ram 90°, re-drilling the holes for the press linkage pin, and everything went into one side.
Found it. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?195366-Spent-Primer-collector-for-Lee-3-hole-turret-press&p=2169302&viewfull=1#post2169302

I turned the shaft 90 deg and drilled a new hole for the cross pin to go thru. the spent primer's now go to either the left or right, depending on which side I have it turned to.

Thank you....
Most helpful.... I was trying to create something like the classic tubing from PVC... and it just ain't working...

"...Macgyverian..." Who? McGyver? Taught him everything he knew. Hang a plastic bucket off the press to catch primers. Some will still escape though. They're crafty buggers.
"...flee the broom..." That's what vacuum cleaners are for.
