Lee warranty

The die works fine and this could have happened with any brand. RCBS would have sent a replacement for free, however it still cost me less than a set of RCBS dies would have in the first place.


Now it's worth mentioning this is the only Lee product I own and I do feel more comfortable spending a few extra bucks on hornady or RCBS but had to get the Lee in a pinch.

This is what I have seen as well recently. Part was free but shipping from Lee in the US was quoted at $US25. I spoke with Higginson after that and they ordered the item and when it arrived they threw it in with one of my orders - it cost me nothing. Others have stated they still get replacement parts for free so I guess it just depends on who looks at the request on their end. Maybe it is the difference between the old guy's 'that's the way we have always done it and I'm not changing nothing' and out it goes in the regular mail, versus the new guy who has had the fear of god put into him and is following the current procedure to the letter. Who knows.

ya,,bull..all there trimmer work well.i have theirs ans a nice Forster next to it,both work well.
i have the Lee safety scale right next to my Dillon scale,again,same thing,
i have many of their dies,not one has ever given me trouble,
their manual is no different than anyone else's,and a real reloader will have more like a couple dozen books,
I never has an issue with customer service,
I use my Lee stuff quite a bit,my brass stockpile is over 100,000 of various calibers,
I agree the big Lee is nice,i have a big orange Lyman,but other than forming brass i dont use it much.
sometimes Lee problems are more operator problems than equipment problems,
 
I've used a good deal of their ( Lee) products over the last 35 yrs as well as most of the other major reloading companies. Never had any more trouble with their products than with others. Their Classic cast press is as good as any other on the market, except maybe the Co-Axe. Great press. I have always found their customer service pretty good. Not as good as RCBS, but none the less good.
Their good enough for Hornady to have copied a lot of their stuff

Why would you think the horse would be of anything other than normal stature? I've only got 6 presses for metallics of which three are mounted, and one portable. Some of them are Lee. Based on my experience of owning, using, baby sitting, and breaking them, I don't believe that they are worth the bother.

Buy what you like and remember if anything breaks on your dillon your replacement part or press will be there in few days - no ifs, ands, or buts*.

I've used Lee equipment now for 40+ years. Don't recall ever actually breaking anything. But, yeah, let's pile on Lee.
