left eye dominant, right handed shooter

I think it's just a case of practice. I'm lucky enough to be right hand right eye dominant, and i've been so used to closing my left eye while shooting rifles over the years that It was VERY difficult to learn to shoot a shotgun with both eyes open. One day, i finally decided, screw it, i'll try it. I promptly shot a 7 in skeet, about half as well as i had been doing. Gradually getting better and better due to practice.

For me it was the difference between almost winning for 16 years and finally starting to win the odd one. The targets to me are bigger and slower with both eyes open.
These guys talk about it here also

I am left eye dominant and have taught myself to shoot rifles and pistols aiming with my right eye......takes practice but you get used to it.............I also taught myself to shoot rifle with both eyes open..........that takes some getting used to, but prefer shooting this way now.......
