has anyone managed to install a left handed safety into a kidd single stage trigger group? Or done so with a factory trigger group?

Yes. It was an easy swap, and works perfectly. I feel it changed the whole ergonomics of the rifle for me. It’s so much simpler to have your index finger on the safety, compared to reaching under.
It was on a Kidd single stage, with volquartsen oversized left hand safety.
