I have an elderly friend who has an 1100 Remington left hand shotgun with a 2 3/4" chamber, 26 inch skeet barrel and a 28 inch modified barrel. He is looking to sell it but he doesn't know the value and neither do I but I am pretty sure some of you fellows do. He says it is in about 8 or 9 out of 10 condition wise. Looking for a ballpark value. I have no dog in this hunt./

my right hand 1100 gets about 300-350 and that's being generous- it also depends on whether you can use steel and the condition of the rings- when i saw the amount of work that should be done, i bought a beretta 400

Value of a used gun depends in a big way on the spare parts support out there. An 870 or 1911 or AR has lots and lots of people knowing how they work and how to replace the bits that need it and you don't have to look far to find those bits. Something obscure whose spares are unobtainable could hit retirement too easily. I think there's enough 1100 community out there yet but that might be worth confirming.

Being a lefty probably brings a premium. When I was looking at used semis about a year ago, asking price for the 1100 in good shape was $500-600 I want to say...

That said being lefty also likely makes it a harder sell due to lack of demand...
