Left hand safety for 10/22?

About 10-15 years ago I was told by a smith that the safety on my 10/22 carbine could not be converted/replaced with a left-hand safety. With all the aftermarket 10/22 products these days, can this be done now?

I'm a lefty with a few 10/22's...I've never even given thought to flipping th safety...I guess I've never had an issue with it. I haven't seen anythign come up commercially that would do this.

I shoot left too, but am actually right handed.
I actually think the safety is easier to switch "off" with the left hand than it would be with the right.

Im a leftie and I had one for several years and never even considered there was anything wrong with the safety. Just shoot it.
