Left handed 338 win mag?

Before I waste money doing something stupid like a re-barrel, what has been produced over the years in a left handed 338 win mag?

I have a Sako AV and don't like it
Browning A-Bolt have a tiny butt to their stock and felt recoil is ugly
Remington chambered the 700 BDL and 700 KS (good luck ever finding one)
Tikka T3 and T3X but since discontinued and come for sale rarely

What else am I missing? Did savage chamber them in a 110 or 116?

Ideally I'd have something stainless and synthetic or blued and synthetic and get it coated.

Input would be much appreciated!

My son has a Browning stainless stalker left hand in 338wm.
He put a Limbsaver recoil pad on it and he said that made a heck of a difference.

Brownings are what I see most often on the EE. Even those aren't very common these days though. The LH market on the EE has been pretty limited over the last few years.

Looks like Savage makes the 110 Ridge Hunter in 338wm in a LH currently.

I made one out of a LH Model 70 and a RH take off barrel installed upside down. It’s the one I currently use.

That stainless left hand action is worth more than a custom action in this day and age.... very cool though!

Great pic! This is 100% what I want it for, elk in the bush. I know Browning'a come with a 26" barrel, but I'd be chopping it down to something more suitable for the forest.

I had a Savage 116LH back in the day, and then a an M700.
Both ended up wearing fiberglass stocks.
That 700 was soo light,
the savage might still be floating around the Edmonton area.

The 116 savage is actually what I wanted, but I did buy that LH tikka in the next post, give that a whirl this fall

You'll want to install a LimbSaver recoil pad on that Tikka...back when they were in production, there were an awful lot of them on the used rack because the beat the shooter so bad from that light rifle.
