I have one of the above M&P's on the way. I need a left handed IPSC compliant holster that can accommodate the optics and high sights on this gun. I'm shooting production and I'm not looking for a Race holster.

I use a BladeTech Ambi with my 4.25 inch M&P9 (1.0). It isn't compatible with the 9L CORE. I haven't located a left handed Bladetech that works. It looks like the Comp-tac International will work if I go south of the border.

Suggestions?

i ordered a Blade Tech straight from them for my M&P PRO Core with optics on it, works good.
cost me a fair amount after exchange and duty and such though.

You are left handed? I couldn't find one for a lefty.

I just heard from Solecanadian, they offer a LH for the m&p 5" Pro core, so I may go that route.

I received the lefty holster for my M&P (Gen 1.0, not Pro/Core) from Solely Canadian a couple of weeks ago, and it is indeed a very nice piece of kit...

Tim at Solcan replied promptly to an email and they would be my first choice but unfortunately the lead time is 6 to 8 weeks. That wouldn't be a problem if I had an older one to use in the meantime.

There is a Comp-tac dealer in Ontario, not a site sponsor so just google Comp-tac Canada and you will find them, I'm sure they can order you one

Naturally I ordered from the States before your message. I did check out the site just now. With the exchange their prices roughly match Comp-tac's. I am however going to take a hit on shipping (and maybe duty - no idea what duty will apply.)

As a follow up, their site won't allow the left handed holster to be added to the shopping cart, only the right handed holster.

I have a LH RaceMaster Alpha X (magnetic), the RaceMaster Magnetic, and a CR Speed clone holster. The CR Speed can be easily converter to LH use with a few longer bolts and being drilled through from the other side. I have a previous post on how to make the clone LH friendly. The Racemasters are the best I have found for LH shooters and are Production legal IPSC.

I bought the Alpha X as a spare for my 2011s but I also have the Pro core magnetic inset for it as well. The problem you are finding is it is difficult to get one that is in stock, even if you order it from the manufacturer. I don't know your timeline for purchase but send me a PM if you are interested.

Thanks for the great info. Your conversion is a great job. I've already ordered a comp-tac which is supposed to be shipped today (according to their website). I am saving your thread about the conversion though. I coule see it in my future.
