Left handed options for trap

When I shot trap in the day I used a Remington 1100, it had a field barrel so we had to load hot trap loads and it was a tight pattern, but it was what I had. The gun became an extension of me and I enjoyed shooting it.
Fast forward to today and this model is hard to find, not withstanding just a left handed option in general. The version I see replacing my 1100 is the A400 as they make a left handed model. That does carry a price tag that makes me pause, so I was wondering what any of the other left trap shooters are using. I prefer the semi auto platform, and not a fan of the over under style. Thanks in advance!
 
Informative post, you should do this for a living. Of course there's no need, it's platform preference and in the semi auto it's a nice feature not having rounds eject across your face.
Some people may settle, I just choose to have what I enjoy firing all day set up to me.

You seem like a very reasonable person in most of the threads you post in, but for some reason every single time someone asks about a left handed shotgun you feel the need to tell them what they do or don’t need, like it’s somehow your business if someone wants to buy what they want, it’s a bit weird isn’t it?
I’m a lefty, don’t own a single left handed shotgun, never have but I might someday.
I certainly wouldn’t presume to tell someone what they need or don’t need” because that’s what I prefer. Seems a bit too Liberal for me 🤷‍♂️

If you want to seriously shoot trap you will not do it very well with a right handed trap gun.

You don't like the O/U concept... so buy a single shot or a semi... in left hand.

It's because I grew up in the 70's - 80's when nobody catered to lefties and we were expected to adapt to a right handed world. 🤷‍♂️

Limiting one's self to left handed guns means you don't get to shoot a ton of really interesting firearms. Buying LH guns is expensive and they can be hard to find. Selling LH guns is difficult because there are so few of us. Its none of my business what someone else wants to buy, but there is no reason I can't offer up the opinion that we can easily adapt to RH guns and make our lives just that much easier.

There is absolutely no reason we lefties can't adapt to RH firearms. Not one RH gun has given me any kind of trouble. Not sure how that makes me "lieberal" :rolleyes:

No right handed gun has given me trouble either, but I don’t tell others what they should or should not do based on me 🤦
Also, there is a reason, it’s called freedom of choice, so if someone is asking about left handed firearms that is THEIR choice, simple.

I personally, would not shoot a shotgun that ejects past my face, but that is just me. Many people have shot wrong handed shotguns for decades, with no issues, and many shotguns actually have neutral cast.

I have a Benelli Super Black Eagle 2 (SBE 2) in left hand. I’ve used this for waterfowl, trap and sporting clays. I’ve seen both a left handed SBE 2 and a LH Benelli M2 in the EE recently (don’t know if they’re still on there) for considerably less than a Beretta A400. The SBE 3 is the newer model but I’m not sure if newer is better in this case.
