Hi any lefties out there that can recommend a reasonably priced stock and a retailer for a rem 700 sps varmint short action by chance. The stock that comes with the gun isn't the greatest as you know. I love the look and feel of the hogue overmolded stocks but unfortunately the don't make them in left. The choate tactical looks ok but it doesn't look all that comfortable.

Any ideas

A deal through Jerry might be your best bet, and those MDTs are NICE! I have a Robertson, a McMillan, and a Star Shooter and they were all pricey. You may want to send Juan Valdez a PM and see if he still has a LH tube chassis he was looking to get rid of. It's the price we have to pay for being better than the commoners. ;)

I remember looking at that and I believe it was for a long action, could be wrong.

OP, you could check out MCRS Tactical in Calgary. He works in wood and composite, tactical, F Class, hunting, you didn't say what discipline. I've never used his stuff but it looks interesting and he will inlet left hand.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm looking for an affordable target stock. The choate stocks seemed the best bang for the buck but I can't seem to find any. Anyone know a distributor?

Thanks again

I second MCRS. He does an excellent tac-9 which is almost identical to a Mcmillian A5. I've ordered one for a Tikka build and one for a Remongton long action 7LRM build. He will do adjustable butt plated and cheek risers.

X2 I put the MCRS tac9 on my tikka 6.5-284. Improved my groups quite a bit over the stock Tupperware stock.

The Boyds come finished and ready to bed for a hundred bux. I have at least 15 of these and have no complaints with any. For extra $15 some pretty wild color schemes. Mine are left hand stocks for rt hand action. Eye injury forced me to switch sides. Mark
