lefty pump shotgun options

S&J will have one available this year for the Remington line up as well iirc, might have to get one for my grizzly but my go to 12g is my Fabarm. I've got quite used to the right hand safety, it's no big deal to operate it once you get familiar with the movement. I find being a lefty with a right handed shotgun to actually be a good thing, take reloading for instance. My support hand is on the right side and I don't have to reach over the reciever to do combat reloads, I'm always able to inspect the chamber with minimal rotation of the gun.

Nice, I imagine the S&J will be metal vs the polymer version currently available.

Now if we can just get S&J to make an extended slide release for the 870. .... that would cover just about everything an 870 needs imo.

I would say that it all depends on what you want to do with the shotgun? My brother and I are both lefties, he has the and I have the 870. They are both used for hunting ducks and geese so we just left them in the stock configuration. The nice thing about the BPS is that you can get it in the 3 1/2" chamber, it's not needed but it's also nice to know that if you run out of ammo you can feed it anything as long as it's the same gauge.
I'm not sure if anyone is stocking the new Ithica 37's but there are used ones around and Norinco does make there copy of the 37 as well.
My brother was duck and goose hunting with a old timer who grew up shooting right handed shotguns and recently bought a left handed shotgun and hated it. He was mostly having problems with the safety because it was pretty much his muscle memory kicking in for a right handed safety, he just wasn't use to the new gun.

I see where both trains of thought are coming from, I own both left and right handed fire arms and can happily manage either or. In this case i was looking to not have shells ejected across my field of vision. In the end I think i got the best of both worlds since i acquired an Ithaca 37 featherlite for a great price.

Thanks to all those who commented.
