Legal Barrel Available for 1934 Beretta 380 Auto

Thanks maxman1

I will get as much info from the gun and send them an email to see if they can do it.

I see your in my large area, can you give me any names of "Good Gun Shops" in this part of Ontario? I`m looking for older Beretta hand guns and German WWII rifles.

I got my Walther pp restricted barrel done by Epps, but be prepared to wait 6~ months

Yep. I waited 9 months for the CFC to approve my Luger as restricted... they seem to be playing games

I waited 9 months on the paperwork for an S&W model 34 done through Bits of Pieces. It seems like a fairly typical wait for our permission slip.

Hello again

Any idea roughly for the price of a legal barrel for a 1934 Beretta .380 auto? Also how does one start and finish the process from the government to get the Beretta to be classified as legal?
Thanks
George

My S&W was ~$300 and I think that was the going rate for most conversions a few years ago when mine was done. Assuming you are buying the gun as a 12(6) from someone this is how it goes:

1) Make deal for gun, pay owner. He stays as the registered owner with the CFC.
2) Owner sends gun to gunsmith of your choice for the conversion.
3) Conversion is done, paperwork for reclassification is submitted by the gunsmith to the CFC.
4) Wait ~9 months.
5) Eventually the bureaucrats lower themselves to do a particle of work and notice your paperwork and the gun is reclassified from 12(6) to restricted.
6) Pay gunsmith for his work.
7) Owner now starts a normal restricted transfer process to the buyer.
8) Transfer is approved and the gun is sent to its new owner.
