legal question about barrel length

Ok i know that you can't cut a factory barrel down and I know that you can buy short 10/22 barrels (i have one and love it). But I have a 10/22 barrel that is currently 19" and muzzle weighted. There are no markings on the barrel what so ever. It doesn't even say 22lr or anything. Now my question is can I cut it down to say 12" and still be legal? I'm thinking the answer is no but does anybody know for sure?

You CAN cut a factory or aftermarket barrel... But you CANNOT cut it shorter than 18"... If you want one shorter than 18", then you have to buy one that was made that way by a licensed barrel manufacturer.

-Buy a "manufactured" barrel that is shorter
You cannot:
