so what i gather from previous posts if i make a sks bullpup that cannot function out side of its stock it would be legal??? and saying this why cant a guy buy a external sks bullpup stock and weld part of the frame to the trigger grouping making it integral (legal) with fifty seconds of welding

"What is prohibited is the making of a conventional action firearm into a bullpup."

So no.

Think about it. We're hip deep in every accessory/gee-gaw that could possibly be conceived for the SKS. If it could be done legally we would be reading posts about everybody's bullpup rifle instead of answering this question... again.

One could weld a rod to the trigger that wraps around the front of the mag.
Legal bullpup. Stock has nothing to do with the bullpup in that case.
Reduce the stock Length Of Pull if you like.
I don't want to be within 2k of you with the deathtrap trigger, but you can have a legal SKS bullpup tonight if you like.

The LAR-15 magazine had its naysayers ;) , too....

For sure you can do this. You have to make a stock that is also the receiver and you can not use the original receiver. Get that approved by the RCMP and you are gold.
