Legal to ask US friend to send bolt, barrel to Canada?

Okay, we gotta nip this one in da bud. Understand that they cannot export said restricted items. Let's stop this conversation right here and now since we are going against CGNutz rules..... ;)

Well, you certainly could ask..... And you could obtain the necessary Canadian import permit, and send it to your friend, so that your friend could apply to the US State Department for a US export licence - assuming that your friend is an exporter.
If your friend were to just put the bits in a box and sent them, he would be violating US federal law, would be risking a fine and/or imprisonment. There is every chance that you would not, in the future, be able to go visit your former friend because you could be flagged as someone who was involved in an attempt to circumvent the law controlling export of arms.
Yup, I think he forgot to lock it.

hypotheticly, what if you ware transporting the items to alaska, obviously there is no direct way to get to alaska without leaving the usa, what would they do then?

The key word here is EXPORT.

It is up to you to find out any rules and regulations that need to be followed in order to get anything exported from another country. If you find no rules and regulations pertaining to your item, what does it matter who sends it?

I'm pretty sure Alaska is still recognized as a state, same as Hawaii.

I have used questars services for this exact purpose.... but i waited till i had a nice collection of goodies before i had it all dealt with. in my case it was well worth the fee.
