Legality of Alexander Arms 6.5 Grendel® GDMR (Grendel Designated Marksman Rifle)

Is this a prohibited firearm in Canada? It uses the AR15 platform.
Thanks

Now the politics may not allow this component to come to Canada. It is very 'tactical' afterall.

But all it amounts to is a rechambered AR15 with a 7.62Russ bolt head. Should be restricted in Canada and nothing more.

Have you considered a 6.5 Grendel on a Mini 30?

That would be unrestricted fun...

Man, would that be an un-accurate POS shooting an expensive round.

PHM, if you put a quality pipe on with a proper throat (unlike the sewer pipes that Ruger has been spinning the last 30yrs), they can shoot MOA or better.

REALLY!.

In something like the 6.5 where you will also use accurate bullets, sub MOA is certainly within the realm of possibilities and something that is already being achieved by at least one US builder.

I have been chatting with another nutz on a similar project and there is a CANADIAN builder that is working on some neat stuff. Hopefully, they will have finished projects to tell us about soon.

The MINI 30/14 is no better nor worse then your average M1A/Garand. In orig form, they make noise and lead goes downrange. In tuned form, they can be pretty accurate shooters.

Best part (what I like most) is that they are unrestricted so I can take them out where I can stretch their legs. Need money and I will seriously consider the new Ruger target model.

If it can be as accurate as they claim, would make a great tacky AR alternative rifle.
