It's not made by the LEGO company.

Quality is excellent, not really distinguishable from real LEGO.

I would imagine Lego would have an issue with some parents who are afraid of how this particular lego would effect their children but it is a good starting point to teach some history at a young age and correct any misconceptions before they become concrete.

Still, I wish I had it as a kid .

They make an 1851 Colt Navy for Lego....

my kids are 6 and 3 and lego has little or no "military" accessories (knights and star wars, yes) funny thing is we pretty much always end up building tanks/planes etc

playmobil has lots of "hunting" type sets and accessories though
