Took a dip with my binos and one lens all fogged up now. Can someone direct me to repair depot in Canada. If you have a "name' to talk to as well.
Once heard of a gentleman in Calgary are that does binocular repairs?????

Thanks

Leica fogging up? That would be a warranty issue with Leica. Where did you get them? If you purchased them used then I'd be very suspicious of how the previous owner handled them.

Well....my advice is....try factory warranty first then sell them while you can still get decent money for them. Not to many people know it jet but you can buy as good or better Far East made binos for 1/4 price of german ones made by unionized, overpaid ( like UAW) and inefficient workers. Like Mercedes brand, all is left now is former late 20th century good memory of it.

I didn't realize Japanese and Phillipine bino's were as good as my Leica's.

Think of the money I could of saved.;)

LOL. Yah sure hope I didn't get screwed buying Leica's. Could have just went to Wal-Mart.....:)

Look for the banner above: Camera Land INC. They can probably help you out. If that's not ice cream, it looks like you blew a seal?

Recently has retired commodore bring over 2 pairs of Leicas and compared them to our top Sightron SIIILR binos. He preferred the Sightron. Do search Chuck Hawkes Sightron binoculars. They are good!

I also like Benzes and BMW's, have a near fullrace 328, a 320 and S500, but Japanese cars are also fine. Regarding optics, have been to Wetzlar on military optics business, the home of the first 35mm camara, which was made by Leica. Great product and so are Sightron binoculars, the opinion of independent reviews. Also like some Fujinon.
Neither available at Wallymart.

Regards,

Peter

Funny you mentioned Fujinon Peter, here in BC we have very generous shooting hours; 1h before sun rise to 1h after sunset. Normally on overcast days with even best of european glass only ab 45 min each way is usefull, with mine binos I can see that extra 15 min even when others costing much, much more would quit. I bought used and heavy, water proof, porro, military 7X50 Fujinons at the gun show 8 years ago for $275, compared them to many best brands that money can buy (up to $2000) and didn't see the difference, none at all, exept mine were much brighter! And no, Wallymart doesn't sell them either.

What binos do you own and what car do you drive? This is an absolutely ridiculously ludicrous statement.

Chuck Hawks on optics(or anything for that matter)......... seriously?

Check the birdwatcher sites if you want info on bino reviews that are worth a read.
Sightron on par with Leica? :onCrack:

Let me guess, you sell Sightron but not Leica.

As to the OP, here's your info. Believe it or not, I found it on the Leica website ;) (and yes, you can ship binoculars to the USA without paperwork):
