My hunting partner bought Leica's and I bought the SLC's about 25 years ago. They have been on countless mountains, forests and swamps, by foot, horseback and quad, soaked, bumped and dropped. Occasionally we swap, just for a change. They are interchangeably just the best. They are both light, tough, excellent resolution, not cheap, but awesome value for the $. Someday when we're too old to hunt - maybe in our eighties or nineties we will sell them for more than average binoculars cost new at the time and someone will get a great deal. Tough choice, but there is no wrong choice.
