New at this reloading and have a question..loading 69 grain seirra hbpt in .223 with once fired necksized brass.
When starting had friend come over with comparator and we made up dummy rounds with the bullets to find my freeebore length....which gives me an overall length of 2.355inches
hodgdon data gives me length of 2.235 or 120 thou longer
ramshot data gives me length of 2.260 or 95 thou longer
is this a fairly common occurance or am I "jammin" a hundred thou +\-
am switching powders tonite and load devleloping tommorwo for groups.would like to know if i keep my original template or develop at shorter suggested length
with varget been finding a group or 2 at 100 meters but wher i going out to 300 meters dropping to 9 to many times for my liking...but that could be my 25 as well
