LEO, MIL FIRE/EMS Discounts

Ironic coming from the cry baby who got butthurt that people who put their lives on the line are offered a discount and then doubled down on the stupid.
Did the can-forces deny you?
Did you get arrested for being a bad boy or given a speeding ticket?
You’re going to really blow a gasket when you find out how many private businesses offer mil/police discounts.
oh man... if he knew what Colt and Glock offered for Individual Officer Purchase.... Cheap C8's and Glocks at less then $400... THE GOOD OL' DAYS!

Maybe join the local volunteer fire department?

Paid fire&police typically have an auxiliary that one could join as another option.

They’re always looking for more people. Even if it’s just to help direct traffic at an accident.
You got 20 guys and 6 make it to a scene at best. Volunteers are crucial, and better then a business discount - you also save at tax time too.

Recruiting centers are open to everyone. However to secure this discount you must accept the terms of service which includes unlimited liability.
In the military, the concept of unlimited liability describes the idea that members of the armed forces give up certain rights when they sign up for military service:

  • Risk of harm: Military personnel are placed at an increased risk of harm.
  • Obey orders: Military personnel must obey legal orders.
  • Surrender of rights: Military personnel surrender basic human rights, such as the right to safety, autonomy, and freedom of movement.
  • Accept harm to others: Military personnel may be ordered to harm others or may have to order others to harm others.

Said my veterans card did not count because i,m british...
And yet I ALWAYS get a discount while in the US, makes no difference that I was British army! Here in Canada they talk big but when it comes to it..nothing.

Been a couple times I was offered the military/veteran discount while in the US, always surprises me. Guess some people can just tell? Then when I say I'm Canadian they say no problem. Only time I ever actually chose to use it up front is for my baggage on air Canada and WestJet.
