I have a pair of the Leupold Tactical Military binos that I love. Mine have a mildot reticle in them, which it doesn't sound like you really need so I wouldn't go spending the money on it. But the binos themselves are excellent quality in my opinion. The glass on them is very clear and it's got a focus knob which is very handy. They are coated in a tan rubber coating, so they are very tough. I used mine in Afghanistan for 7 months and was very pleased with how they held up. We have some Steiner Military/Marine binos at work which were roughly the same price and I much prefer the Leupolds.
Other then that though, I have a pair of Leupold Mesa binos as well, considerably cheaper, but a really nice set of small binos which may come into play since you probably don't want to be lugging all kinds of bulky stuff around when you hunt. The ones I got are 8x32 and are very clear as well. The only thing that you have to remember is you don't want too much magnification in relation to your objective lens size of else it will look dark.
Just my 2 cents!!!
