Leopold XV-r Scope

Hello
Anyone using this scope for large animals eg moose

I want to buy one but there is an option for 36 or 72 FOV

Just wondering others think

You might have better luck in the Optics section, I know the VXR was discussed in depth there. Personally I have two, a 4-12X50 on a 30-06 Rem 700 and a 2-7X33 on a 308 Ruger Scout. The 4-12 has been all I need for moose, FOV is good IMO, at the lower magnification range of course, and glass is clear. The 2-7 I've only pointed at paper so far, but it too is doing its job so far. The real test will be this fall when we go for long walks in the bush together. The illuminated reticle is the mutt's nuts on dark moose hide.

I'd place them solidly between a VX2 and VX3 for clarity.

I have the 3to9 by 40 vxr on my turkey slug gun combo and love it .very quik on target and very clear glass ,,Dutch

I'm in love with the VXR and have several. I've shot two moose and a whitetail using them. The optics are good very near the VX3.
