LER scope for SMLE

I want to put a no drill/tap (S&K Mounts) mount on my SMLE No.1 Mk.III*. The gun is more accurate than me, but the irons are awful.
Does anyone have ideas re: LER scopes with Eye relief ~12 inches?
I really don't want to spend too much money, it's just a project gun. Are the NcStar scopes any good? The Leapers LER scopes look to have ER ~5 inches, which is not nearly long enough.

I just put a scope on my M44, same as you no gunsmith mount...

I ordered NcStar ILLUMINATED PISTOL & LONG EYE RELIEF SCOPE 2-7X32E

I will be heading out to the range with it in 2 weeks...

Will report back to you if it worked out good.

The 2 other options are

Leupold 2.5x28mm
Burris Scout

But these are 400$ Options... so thats why I got the NcStar first....

Of you are on a budget, have a look in gun stores or pawn shops for used scopes. Everyone wants the newest scopes with the fanciest features, so scopes from 3 years ago can go for a decent price. Also, have a look on the EE.

Nikko Sterling makes a 4X LER scope - bought one a few years ago, cost about 100$. Works fine..
