new addition to the collection. A Les Hiltz .40 longrifle. I watched him build this one back around 98-99. It has a 42” swamped colerain barrel, bridleless Davis lock, locally sawn tiger stripe maple stock. All the hardware he made minus the trigger guard. Hidden latch button in the form of a screw for the patch box lid. 1/4” cast off. And beautiful relief carving. Can’t wait to get it out to the club for a little shooting.
