This week got to shoot those 208 Match to the 800 metres station, i've got stellars results... almost surnatural... I may be a long time shooter but a roockie LR shooter but i find it quite doable with adjustments to buck the wind, my groups were the size of dessert plate in all cases... Cheers. JP.

That is good shooting @ that distance and practice should make it even better right?
Now Im thinking of doing Maynards MOA. Just got to learn how to shoot first.

What velocities are you getting?
I tried these a couple of weeks ago, Mvel 3100 fps, 1:10 twist, they left lots of copper in my bbl and did not group well at all. I am not sure if I just got a bad batch, or if this is just too fast. I used other .308 bullets (210gn) and had no problems with copper deposition.

I had decent groups with Retumbo seated just into the lands. I chronied a few and got just over 3000 fps. I was suprised to see pretty bad copper fouling as well. I know these loads are at the edge I was thinking time to tone it down and also a switch to SMK's, you just helped me make up my mind.
In the 300 mag that 208 Match must be awsome at 3000 fps, that extra 400 fps for the 1000 metres, with the 308 @ 800 metres i am getting 1 MOA as at 500 metres i was grouping sub half MOA, there were the 2600 fps hurt, guess lack of velocity is making my groups open... JP.
2950 fps with no fouling, but that Lilja doesn't foul with anything. I had higher speeds but it shot a bit better at this velocity. H1000 in case anyone's interested.
I'm useing reloader 22. Getting 2980fps. A little fouling but shoots great out of a fouled bore.
Were going to make caramilk feel bad about shooting the little 308.
