I'm unaware if this is the proper site however, is there any information to give a rifle away to a less fortunate? A young teenager who has a PAL?

I agree with what FLHTCU has said, as there's the potential for pretend "poor me" on here to rook you out of a rifle for someone who has no business exploiting your generosity.

Hey Track. Outstanding gesture. If it’s a .22 I would be more than happy to contribute a 500 brick of ammo. I am likely less than an hour drive from Okotoks.

Well, I wasnt trying to think that nefarious , but rather more local to ones hometown.
And yes, unfortunately there has been a few lowlifes who resided here until caught and banned.
Very generous of you track and passengerseven for reaching out to track and to others who maybe thinking of something similar like paying it forward.

Giving guns away is easy enough, I’m sure the OP must know that.

Maybe the issue not knowing any poor or struggling people that have an interest in such things to give it to? Or maybe just doesn’t know many teenagers? I know I don’t, 10 or 20 years ago it was different.

If thats the case, ask your friends or ask around discretely at the club if you’re in one, someone probably knows a guy who knows a guy?

I'm going with the assumption, Track, that you are looking for how to find a recipient.
Say you put a rifle in the EE. The price is $0 plus shipping but here are the conditions. A CGN member pms to buy it and vouches that he/she knew of just the kid that would be right for it. Approaches family to explain. Helps the kid with the transfer requirements before it ships.

What about checking out the regional sea or army/air cadet branch around your area. Not sure if they offer range time in today’s times? You could inquire if there are any responsible youths that fit your criteria as mentioned? Just a thought. Btw what is the firearm in question? Good luck.
