hey guys i thought i would pass on a lesson i learned...i bought a bc tactical scope mount for my sks and soon after mounting it the op rod would jam on me after each shot fired. so i blamed it on the gas tub at first, then the op rod spring and so on. i finally figured out that when i had installed the bc tactical scope mount i had missed an important step and forgotten to remove the leaf spring under rear sight, i forced the scope mount into place which in turn push the leaf spring down into the little chamber where the op rod and spring sit, so when i fired a shot the op rod would bounce back like it was supposed to but then the rod would get jammed. i thought maybe if i posted this here other people will have an easier time if they get into trouble. REMOVE THAT LEAF SPRING haha

mine was easy with a pair of needle nose pliers. I recieved one of the first production pieces and caught that right away, it didnt do any damage did it?

i just pulled my lead spring off with needle nose pliers, there doesnt appear to be any damage but the op rod has a few really tiny marks on th side of the head but no burrs or anything major...i think
