Let me make you jealous!!!! Hunting Buffalo Cow pictures

My son with his first Impala and the second one is a lady on a Buff cow hunt with a Muzzle loader in a .50 caliber, see the trophy made of it...who says that female species doesn't make beautiful trophies...

Nice pics, and that looks like it would be a tremendously enjoyable experience. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that it's far less, expensive to shoot a buffalo cow than a bull? Also, out of curiosity, do you butcher and keep the meat? Or do you take choice cuts and the rest goes to locals, or market/industry? I imagine they make a tasty biltong.

Chuckbuster,

Yes, it is much cheaper than a Buff Bull, getting the same adrenalized hunt as if hunting a bull. You will be hunting in the same environment, together in the same herd, all the same dangers included....We take choice cuts like the backstraps and tenderloins for consumption, the rest will be sold to the industry and or giving to the locals, depends what the 'contract' says.

I am a bit picky about the biltong of Buffalo, nothing wrong with it, just my preference to take just curtain prime cuts of it like the backstraps and tenderlions.
