I'm curious if anyone on here knows if there is a 3 gun match in the works in Lethbridge this summer, if not can we plan one (I think Walter would have to give a yay or nah)

If anyone is interested post here maybe we can get something going...

i know that Jim T puts on a three gun match in lethbridge. you would have to talk to him if he is planning one. the only way a three gun match would "require" my blessing was if it was being run as a sanctioned IPSC match. the difference being that as a sanction match it would be advertised on the IPSC Alberta web site and be covered by IPSC Alberta insurance. also if any ICS stages were run for the handgun part they could be submitted for ICS standings. however any match at Lethbridge F&G now requires that it go through a "risk management" assessment. you would have to talk to Allan F about what is all required.

now if you are interested in putting on an IPSC Sanctioned three gun match, lets talk on a thursday night

I am working on putting on a BB course February 25/26 if you are interested. come out to Taber on a thursday night and see how the game is played.

I would be very interested in attending a three gun match in Lethbridge this summer. I would also like to see one in Calgary.

it would depend Sean. if it was run with proper safety rules, ie you break 90 you go home then i would consider it however if it is run on the old boy's rules of aww, you know you shouldn't do that be we will let you go again anways, then no.

before a person can shoot in a sanctioned IPSC match you have to take our safety course, which is call the Black Badge course or BB for short. two days, 500 rounds. the purpose is to teach a person to shoot IPSC safely.

k. i don't think i can participate and such since i won't have any guns until im out of college and WORKING but i'd like to watch if it's not gonna cost me anything. Getting out to taber will be a slight problem since I don't have a car but we will see.

I would participate in a 3 gun match. I took the BB course in January 2001 with Randy Neufeld. But, I never shot an IPSC match.

I might take a BB refresher course if one is available.
