Lets design ANOTHER chassis for the Norinco Scorpio

Glad you are shooting well. If you need any help with the testing and development of the mag extenders, please let me know. I can 3D print as well.

maybe adding a chuck of spring from another mag will help give enough push. Got a few mags that can be sacrificed to see what can be made to work.

I sent you a PM with the link to download the mag base, let me know how it works out for you. It seems to feed fine for me using CCI blazer, but I haven't tried any match ammo in it though.

So cool... will try asap.

Did you use PLA or something better suited to the heat?

Jerry

I just used pla, the heat shouldn't be too big a deal unless it's sitting in a car in the summer or something. I've got a couple other things on my rifle that are pla+ (dope card holder, scope throw lever, knobs for my adjustable cheek piece), haven't had any problems so far. I have printed one or two things in PETG though, so might try it for this too. The one in the photo is just the latest test one I made, I was planning to refine it a bit more.

Added Weaver adapters and mounted scope. Amazing how low it is with a 50mm glass (0.35" rings). The comb is the perfect height right now and easily clears the bolt. Not sure why every factory stock has so much drop in the comb when they don't even add irons anymore.... Mine is about 1/8" below the center line of the action. Afaik my eye is 1.7" from my cheekbone, and the scope is 0.35+0.6+0.6=1.55" above center line.... Makes sense!

You'll find that silhouette stocks have the comb as high and the toe as low as the rules allow because it's far better for offhand shooting.
If a person was to be able to turn them out on CNC fairly cheaply they'd be very popular. I've also thought about trying to print one.

The scope rail will be good if I can install it.

Did anyone have issues getting the rail on ?

I struggled with it for a good 10 minutes.
Worth it though.
Fits good.

FYI, FOC has an interesting Boxing Day sale on right now, with shorty 332X's at a very good price, pretty cheap shipping too.

It seems the consensus is that the 332X's are an improvement from the 332A's in that they have a better bolt knob and included scope rail, but maybe on average a bit less accurate than the 332A's 20" barrel? Or maybe a bit more picky with ammo?

I really do enjoy shooting my 332A, it has a very nice feel to it bone stock. Definitely tempted with the shorty tho.

Merry Xmas to all.
