Lets get a some lever action #### going

A pre-64 winchester 94 .30-30. I've got a marlin 39a, winchester 88, and soon a browning blr, but I can't take pics of them right now.

I was looking for a simple scabbard for one of my Marlin SDT rifles with the 161/4" barrel and came across this shotgun scabbard on the Equipment Exchange. I think it fits perfectly for what I wanted it for. At twenty bucks it was far cheaper than having a leather one made.

Just got the Marlin Guide gun in the mail today, 1998 model, skinner sights, 45-70 Govt.. Can't wait to shoot it!
Below Henry .22, octagon, it's only 2" longer than the Marlin, looks huge in this picture.

1894 Marlin built by a friend. .44-40 with a 26 inch octagon barrel. He did the case hardening and made the stock, as well as rebored rifled, rechambered and blued the barrel.

Gee, guess I'd better remove mine from my 300RUM then...

Depends how it sits against the fore-end. This Marlin appears to have some flop between the bipod and rifle. This play translates to more shearing action on the swivel stud through the wooden fore-end. Harris bipods tend to fit better on wider/flatter bolt action stocks.
Many lever rifles and single shots have more slender and narrower front ends resulting in a poor fit otherwise.
I have seen this on a friend's Ruger single shot & it tore the front swivel off.

YMMV
