Lets get a some lever action #### going

Amazing lever guns in this thread!! plz keep 'em coming!

Okay, if you insist!
I can't recall if I posted this photo before, if so, my apologies.
This is a photo of a trio of Winchester Model 1894s. The top and bottom guns I still own. The top is a 22" semi deluxe Takedown short rifle in 32 special caliber. It has I style checking with hard rubber shotgun buttplate, as well as fluted buttstock, and sports a part octagon barrel with half magazine. What a handy little gun, points real nice. The second is a 24" deluxe TD rifle in 30WCF with I style checking again, but this time with 2X wood. his gun also has a part octagon barrel, and half magazine, as well as special order sling eyes. Very nice wood on this gun and it has a classic look with the crescent buttplate. The last gun is a 38-55 caliber semi deluxe TD rifle also with part octagon barrel, half magazine and hard rubber shotgun buttplate. Also has I style checking. Semi deluxe 38-55s are pretty scarce. A very nice rifle, probably my favorite of the the three, though I do really like the 22" short rifle as well. SO, there you go, a trio of 22, 24, and 26" 1894s.

Mike: I'm sure you have some nice 94s. They don't all have to have this condition to be nice guns. You must have something to share! :)
Here is another of my 1894s. I am trying to focus on Takedown rifles, so this one will be going up for sale in the future. It will be a VERY nice 94 for someone's collection b/c it is a special order 94 and in very high conditon...and 38-55. This 1894 serialized on March 24, 1905 and features the more scarce round barrel, hard rubber shotgun butt, and "4 cartridge magazine", and the gun letters this way. Overall it is about 95%. Couple extremely light oxidation marks on barrel, and couple wear marks on top of receiver, couple dings, but this is about as nice as they get up here. Not even any apparent carry wear. If hunted, the person who carried it really took wonderful care of it. With the exception of the NIB pre-64 I have, this is the highest condition Winchester I have. Here are a few photos:

Hope to see this one go to a good home to someone who sure appreciates old world craftsmanship and pride.

That is a dandy. Couldn't have spent any time in the woods, for sure. When I see them like that I often imagine someone who was a keen hunter ordered just what he wanted. Probably received the rifle and a few months later got caught in the flywheel of a big one lung motor and his sister ended up with the rifle. Sounds far fetched but that's how my great uncle got it. I have a few nice old guns but they were all hunted pretty good and show it. I will post a few pics next week.

My new 1895g. I haven't even taken it out of the house to fire it yet, and I managed to put a scuff mark/dent in the stock (accidentally hit it against the wall when carrying around my house).

My XS rail and rings come today, hopefully I can get everything set up by the weekend.

Marlin (Remlin) 1895g with Nikon Prostaff 2-7x32. Mounted on XS Lever Rail using Warne Maxima QD Rings (Medium)

So I had a bit of time last night to try and put this together. I've never really been good at building anything and was going to take it to a shop to get it done. Thought that since I'm getting into firearms, I'd better try and learn a few things. The rail was actually easier to install than I thought. Does anyone have any thoughts about the placement of the installation rings on the scope?

Looks good although I prefer the QD rings to face the other way, looks better to my eye although the way you have them is actually functionally better as the QD's tend to poke your side when rifle is carried by sling.
