Lets get a some lever action #### going

I saw this refurbished rifle over at castboolits and asked the owner for permission to crosspost the pictures here. There's another thread here for engraving and it would fit just as well... a beautiful rifle:

That's a really neat looking bullet holder you have there Nates. Where did you get that?

Its a quality piece, holds very securely and really puts the cartridges right where you need them to through one quickly in the chamber. It holds 6 rounds and he has them for a bunch of different lever gun calibers.

Hey 338 Winmag...did you get that awesome buttstock cover *** sling from Levergun Leather? How does the front part work out? I've got an undrilled 336 and I'm trying to keep it that way. This type of sling seems like the best choice, except I'm wondering if it'll interfere with the iron sights.

That's correct it's Lever's work, highly recommend him. The sling does not interfere at all with open sights, give him a try his work is first rate.

Beautiful! That guy's got quite the waiting list for this stuff! I'll have to get one for next hunting season.

Google laroche leathers. The guy made me one for my marlin guide gun which I recently traded for a GBL. It held 10 45-70 rounds. and was at my door in 2 weeks.

Here is a crappy cell phone pic:

Took these photos yesterday. The rifle is an original Winchester 1886 45-70, octagon barrel, shipped from the factory August 4, 1890. The bore is excellent.

What kind of scope are you going to mount on it??

J/K !

That's a beautiful rifle. I'm envious.
I'm going to have an 1886 someday...
