Lets get a some lever action #### going

Here is what showed up in the mail today. Please excuse the photos, I am not very adept at the fine art of photography.
This is a Winchester 1886 Extra Lightweight TD Short rifle 45-70. This rifle was specially ordered with a short 20" barrel. Gun is nice and light and comes up quick, would be great in the bush come moose season.
There aren't too many 20" 1886s out there. According to what remains of the 1886 records at Cody, there are either 113 or 118 (can't recall without going back for another look) 1886s listed in the ledgers with 20" barrels. How many of those were ELWs? Your answer is as good as mine.
This gun also has the hollowed out buttstock. Gun is in pretty nice shape, happy to have come across it. I now have ELWs with 20, 22 and 24" barrels. There are only 12 documented with 24" barrels, 22" being standard.

Mattones: What are the markings on the upper tang?
Northern Boater: Nice 71 and 64s. Don't see a lot of 64s in 32 special, not as many as in 30WCF (30-30).
I'm not into Brownings myself, but that sure is some nice wood. And what a nice little round for shooting.
