My old 1960 Marlin 336 Sporting Carbine w/ Williams peep.
Works so smooth, never hunted with her yet only to the range.

My first ever Lever Action, so please be kind! I have secretly always wished that all guns were levers and revolvers haha, so I guess I am a closeted fan (don't tell anyone!)

1971 all original (95%+) Win Mod 94 30-30 (Standard I guess). Just got it this week too! Happy :D !

Just need to find a front sight hood to pop on there :p

Here are a couple old Winchesters I picked up the last few weeks.
The top gun is an 1894 30WCF TakeDown rifle with 1/2 magazine, with original Lyman tang sight and Rocky Mountain front. Gun was made in 1903.
The bottom gun is an 1894 TD rifle in 38-55 with full octagon barrel and 1/2 magazine. Rifle also sports a Lyman #5 Globe front sight as well as Lyman #6 2 leaf rear sight and was made in 1897.
Both rifles have nicer than average wood, which was common on TD rifles. Added a couple photos of the CC on the 38-55. Not quite as nice on the 30WCF, but nice.

Thanks Sloo. Well, I'll tell yah, I do a lot of searching. I really have a passion for these old lever guns - especially guns of condition - so I just keep looking and looking. Had some luck lately too I guess. As much as I like a good honest gun, there is just something about one of these old classics when found with a lot of condition. Gives a fellow an idea of what a fellow could order or special order for himself back in the day, to see them close to what they looked like after rolling out of the old factory after that worker put a couple extra coats of finish or put some extra work into that special piece of wood on that gun. They really took pride on their work on those days. Something I really appreciate.

Great looking rifles, Matt. I know where the is one in similar condition. Takedown, 30WCF, half magazine, octagon barrel and shotgun butt. This old one has the hard rubber buttplate( not the least worn, looks brand new). When the guy decides to sell I get first offer so I have a reason for living.

Thanks Mike. That sounds like a dandy rifle. Good luck, it will be like Christmas for you when that day comes. Now I have another reason for living too: to start bugging you once you buy it! Be nice to have triplets in my photo ;)

While I'm at it, I don't think I posted pics of this new rifle I picked up last month. I am a fan of the 1894s, so figured it would be nice to have a nice example of a Model 55 as well to go along with them. As you know, Winchester started making the 55 after the stopped production of the standard 1894 rifles. They are pretty much an ELW 1894: they have a the raid taper barrel, slimmer forearm. Anyway the one I found is a TD rifle in 30WCF. Apart from the condition, the other nice things about the rifle is the rarely seen Ivory Bead Marbles Improved Front sight, and the fact that it is a semi deluxe rifle. You see very few 55s with special features. Here is a photo. The gun was serialized on April 21, 1926.

That's a really nice rifle Matt. What a beauty.

Thanks Kirk. Yes, that is what really makes the rifles. I added a couple photos of the cc on the 38-55 too. Its the CC and wood that gets me on the old levers with condition.
