Let's see some pic's of your SxS's & O/U's

I got this Atkin sidelever from Londonshooter a few weeks backs. It's a gorgeous gun and Londonshooter posted a number of pics but I thought I would like to share 2 pics that I just took. I trust the double gun aficionados will enjoy this gun as much as I do

That is a seriously beautiful gun.

Thanks, Pinfire. The engraving is meticulous---if you are able to blow up the pic you can see incredible detail.
Also the barrels are damascus replacements by Webley & Scott, and nitro proofed--the damascus pattern is beautiful---perhaps you can provide some information about the type of damascus.

Well it’s a very beautiful gun and a best quality London sidelock from one of the most prestigious makers, a rarity in Canada. This gun is easily the original quality of a similar Holland and Holland, Purdey, Grant, etc even though not as well known. I’m a big side lever fan, to me that’s the icing on the cake, along with the new nitro proofed damascus barrels. London Shooter, it must have been a tough decision to let this jewel go for 3/16 of an inch!

It has superb damascus barrels that were made for the gun c1920's at a time when steel barrels were far more popular than damascus. The barrels were nitro proofed and remain in proof. Although black powder damascus barrels are not overly popular today, nitro proofed damascus barrels are very popular to discerning collectors and shooters. A few years back Greeners discovered a small quantity of damascus barrels and put them on their best quality guns---collectors/shooters loved it.
The number "1" indicates that it is one of a pair---wouldn't it be fun to discover number "2".

I just received the latest Shooting Sportsman magazine and it states that Purdey have recently made a small number damascus barrel guns using modern Swedish damascus. And now, Longthorne have made their first damascus one-piece barrels using the same Swdish damascus and the barrels are good for both lead and steel shotshells.
