Let's see some pic's of your SxS's & O/U's

Pieper, never heard of that maker. Has he been around awhile? Just kidding. Nice looking gun. I have a very nice handling Belgian gun here is well so if the Pieper is anything like it I know what you mean. Great field guns without a lot of unnecessary embellishments.

Thanks Brian. Speaking of unnecessary embellishments, I have this gun's bench mate. Both from 1922, serial numbers 3 digits apart. They are identical except for the engraving, chequering and better quality wood on the other gun. It's off getting a more complete restoration with our friends Oskar and Chris but pics will be posted on it's return. In the meantime her's a couple pics of the two of them together, pre restoration on both of them.

Quite the coincidence that you were able to get them 3 digits apart in the serial number. It will look super when you get it back. It will probably be some time though because I have it through the grapevine that your stock is on the back burner because Chris has , shall we say, a more challenging project lol !!! Well, I'm not really laughing and I doubt Chris is either!

Yeah, but I am!

picked this up this nice Superposed online this morning to shoot for a bit then sell.
I keep telling myself I'm not a Browning Superposed fan but for some reason keep buying them! LOL!

Below are some pics of my Belgian Masquelier. This is a 12 gauge that is a sweet handling gun. I just finished slow rust bluing the barrels. I had my doubts about the gun as you will see from before and after pics. The stock work was professionally done by a forum member. I think it turned out very well and another vintage gun was saved at a very reasonable cost. It is from 1929.
First, the before pics.

Brian, nice gun! But I think I should tell you....not all guns with broken stocks turn out like this! LOL

Seriously, it's a beautiful piece of wood and great it could be rehabilitated. And I LOVE the engraving on the fences. Just lovely.

BTW, nice job on the barrels.

Yes, but I'm hoping.

I read this and take a deep breath ,cross my fingers, eye's and anything else that's flexible enough...then hope for the best .But to be honest ,it's not repairs that shake me ...it's the burgeoning checkering artists, they can really lay waste to a project .

The pores are filled, there is that ;)

Chris, don't be wasting time reading trash like the gunnutz website. There is woodworking to be done if you have caught up on the snow shoveling!

And I'm not talking about the puzzle some call a Lang.....no, I'm thinking of that pretty little Pieper 16. Isn't she calling to you?? LOL

I hear you James ,and the Pieper is whining loud enough...trouble is ,it has a bunch of new friends who are just as loud :)
